PAROMA-MED 10th Plenary Meeting: A Key Step Toward Project Completion

The 10th Plenary Meeting of the PAROMA-MED project took place from February 18 to 19 in Athens, Greece, hosted at the prestigious Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center. Organized by the project partner Qualtek, this event marked a crucial milestone as the project enters its final four months of a 36-month life cycle. Considering that the final review will be scheduled for the upcoming summer, the focus of discussions has now shifted from theoretical and architectural considerations to integration, testing, validation, and preparations for demonstrating project outcomes to external reviewers.

Day One: Technical Discussions and Evaluations

The first day of the meeting was dedicated primarily to discussions on Work Package 4 (WP4). Participants reviewed the current status of developments, explored various demo scenes, addressed technical debts, and laid out plans for final refinements. The discussions were highly technical, ensuring that all aspects of the work package were progressing according to schedule and that no critical issues remained unresolved.

A significant portion of the meeting was devoted to technical evaluations and validations, focusing on Deliverable 1.3 and its details. The partners thoroughly examined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), assignments, and future action plans to ensure that the project meets its objectives effectively. This segment of the meeting was particularly engaging, with all partners actively participating and contributing their expertise.

A dedicated session followed, centered on the Delphi Study, an essential component of the project driven by the 6GHI partner. The study plays an important role in shaping the project’s strategic direction and validating its research methodologies. The discussions delved into the latest findings, refinements, and next steps required to ensure its successful completion.

To conclude the first day on a lighter note, the team gathered for a social dinner at a stylish restaurant in the heart of Athens. This informal setting provided an excellent opportunity for team building, fostering stronger relationships among project members and reinforcing the collaborative spirit of the consortium.

Day Two: Final Discussions and Management Topics

The second day of the meeting began with a continuation of discussions from the previous day, addressing any outstanding issues and refining final points. Once these matters were settled, the focus shifted to Work Packages 5, 6, and 7, which deal with communication, dissemination, exploitation, project management, coordination, and ethical considerations.

Work Package 5 (WP5) was dedicated to the communication, dissemination, and exploitation aspects of the project. Participants reviewed the current status, assessed the impact of outreach efforts, and refined plans for the final phase of the project to ensure maximum visibility and stakeholder engagement.

Work Packages 6 and 7 (WP6 & WP7) covered project management, coordination, and ethical topics. Discussions revolved around ensuring that all administrative, logistical, and regulatory requirements are met before the project reaches its conclusion. Ethical considerations were also reviewed to confirm that all project activities comply with established guidelines and best practices.

The meeting concluded on a highly productive note, with clear action points and strategies for the final months of the project. As the PAROMA-MED project approaches its culmination, the consortium remains committed to delivering innovative and impactful results that will be showcased during the final review. The success of this plenary meeting has further strengthened the collaborative efforts of the partners, setting the stage for a strong and well-prepared conclusion to this ambitious initiative.
