Connecting Health, Empowering Care: PAROMA-MED at EuCNC 2025
On 4th June at this year’s EuCNC & 6G Summit 2025, the EU-funded PAROMA-MED project took the stage to present its groundbreaking work on secure, privacy-focused healthcare data platform designed to enable high-performance AI/ML workflows across Europe. In the special session the project presented its approach “Towards a European Health Data Slice (EHDSL) – Resilience, Security, Interoperability and Use Cases”. The session was featured as part of the broader agenda to advance Europe’s digital innovation and sovereignty. Paroma-Med focused on the need for a unified safe, secure and resilient European critical infrastructure from code to data perspective in line with relevant European regulations, standards and frameworks. The presentation covered an overview of the work done in these three years.
During the session:
-
Prof. Christoph Thuemmler, Chief Medical Officer at [@6GHI], shared insights into the challenges and opportunities in data infrastructure and sovereignty across Europe, particularly in the context of healthcare.
-
Pooja Mohnani, Project Manager at Eurescom GmbH, highlighted how PAROMA-MED is laying the groundwork for resilient digital infrastructure aligned with European values — emphasizing privacy, openness, trust, and innovation through the adoption of federated architectures and zero-trust security models.
A few glimpses from the session captured the audience’s engagement and enthusiasm for a more secure, interoperable future in healthcare data management.
As the EU looks ahead to a more connected and collaborative digital future, PAROMA-MED is proud to contribute to building secure data ecosystems that uphold Europe’s core values. The conversation continues on how we shape a future-ready, compliant, and trusted digital health landscape for all.
